About Vanessa

I’m a self-taught artist with an unwavering love for art and creating — a passion that began since a child that resurfaced back in 2004 after an unexpected accident changed my life’s direction. Unable to return to my job at the time, I turned to creativity to make ends meet. I started freelancing as a makeup artist, working with agencies, film sets, and Glamour Shots studios, and even doing hand lettering and window art for local businesses.

Though that period taught me a lot about who I wanted to be as an artist, financial stability led me back to the hospitality industry. But my creative spark never went away. In 2007, I found a new way to blend art and passion by studying culinary arts. Becoming a chef allowed me to express my artistry through food — each dish became a canvas.

After culinary school, I opened my own restaurant — designing the architecture, layout, and interior myself. It was an exciting journey, but I realized that what truly fulfilled me wasn’t just creating food — it was creating art.

After three years (and a baby later), I shifted gears again, launching a personal chef service and working as an event chef. Then came the pandemic — and with it, a powerful reminder of what truly brings me peace and purpose: art.

I picked up my brushes again, starting small with projects for friends and family, and soon rediscovered the deep joy that art had always given me.

Art has been my healing outlet — a constant through every chapter of my life. It’s where I feel most alive, most authentic, and most me.

The world is my canvas, and I’m ready to paint it! 🎨
